Screncast
I've put together a quick screencast to sho you the basics of the site
Account Settings/User Profile
When logged in, click on your name to edit your account settings and view your public profile.
Create a Deck
To make your own deck for studying first log-in then click the "New Deck" link
On that page you have two options "Create a new deck" and "Import." Here you can either type in a new deck from scratch, or import a CSV file
Create a New Deck
Enter in a name for your deck, and an optional description. Then for each flashcard "Question XX:" Will be the question asked, and "Answer XX:" Will be the answer. For example, when studying in multiple choice mode, the question will appear n large bold letter in the center of the screen, and underneath it in four buttons will appear the answer along with three other answers chosen at random from your deck
On the right you can click the up and down arrow to change the order of the questions, however this won't affect what order they show up in on the story page. This is just so you can organize your Question and Answer sets if you like
On the right you can click the red button to delete a Question and Answer set
To add more questions click on "Add Another Question" on the bottom of the form.
Once you've finished click the "Create Deck" button to finish up and get studying!
Import
To import a deck you need to fill out a name and optional description then browse your computer for the Deck file
At this point we only support CSV files in this format:
question, answer
question, answer
question, answer
Learn more about the CSV format
Your Decks
On your decks you can view and moderate the Decks you've made. You can study, view your progress statistics, edit, delete, and download your Decks.
Study
Click on the deck's name to start studying, depending on your settings the study pages may look differently. There are currently two different study modes "Multiple Choice" and "Hidden Answer." For any deck with less than 4 cards it will automatically switch to Hidden Answer (because there isn't enough cards for multiple choice).
Multiple Choice
The question will appear in large bold letter in the center of the screen, and underneath it in four buttons will appear the answer along with three other answers chosen at random from the deck.
When you click the right answer the screen will flash green then move on, clicking the wrong answer will make the screen flash red.
Hidden Answer
The question will appear in large bold letter in the center of the screen, you need to first guess what it is then click on the "Show Answer" Box.
If you got the question right hit the green "O" button, if you got it wrong hit the red "X" button.
Statistics
Click on the statistics icon to view how well your doing on a specific deck. Cards marked in green are the ones you know best, followed by yellow ones, and the red cards are the ones you know the least.
Edit
Click the edit button to adjust the questions and answers in your deck. Be careful! Changing a question will remove any progress you've gained for that question during studying.
Editing works the same way as creating a deck.
Delete
Click the delete button to remove your deck. This is a permanent action! You cannot get a deck back once it's been deleted! You also cannot delete a deck if another user is studying it.
Download
Click on the download icon to download a .CSV copy of your Deck.
Favorites
The favorites stores all the decks you're studying. Un-favoriting a deck will remove all your progress for that deck. You can study and view statistics the same way as you would for your own decks.
